The Strasenburgh Planetarium features a 65-foot wide viewing dome, making it one of the world's largest planetarium domes. Visitors to the museum can view any number of fascinating wide-screen documentary films or catch what the planetarium is best known for, an amazing star show. Other activities at the planetarium include a two-hour interactive simulation at the "Challenger Center" which takes children on a trip to Mars and star viewing through the planetarium's 12.5 inch wide telescope during clear nights. The attraction is located next to the Rochester Museum & Science Center, near downtown.
