Offering an in-depth introduction to the region for visitors, The Center at High Falls looks into the the past, present, and future of Rochester and its surrounding areas. Visitors to the center can interact with political figures and artists from the past hundred years in the interactive "Power of the People" exhibits, or take a peek at the world-famous, water-powered Gleason Lathe. It also contains an art gallery, featuring the works of local artists and offers information on walking tours of historic sites in the city. The center is located in the historical Browns Race District, just east of Brown Square Park near the riverfront and the city center.
